More Surprises on McDill Pond

There are always surprises living on McDill Pond. A neighbor took these pictures of 2 foxes that were walking up the channel behind our houses.

Over the weekend, we had a big plaited redheaded woodpecker come to visit. He is about the size of a crow. At one of the bird feeders, Granddad saw Chickadees, blue jays, cardinals, finches, and smaller woodpeckers, and on the ground below the feeder were dove and squirrels. He also counted 12 ducks walking across the lawn and this was all in one afternoon.

This is an amazing place. You need to come and visit.
